Melou’s Adventures continue with this second Coloring Book to accompany the soon to be released “The Tale of Melou Robin’s First Day”, and it’s a snowy one!
Following on from "The Tale of Melou’s (First) Week of Metamorphosis”. Spoiler alert: in that first story, a child wakes up as a different wild animal each day of the week, and copes with each transformation with courage and even excitement.
Included are all 16 (+ 1) of my hand-drawn and inked illustrations from the story, plus a colouring in copy of the title page. Slight mistakes are preserved, as this is the reality of drawing by hand, and what makes the drawings special. Accepting imperfections boosts confidence in artistic skills and life in general.
And in case you didn’t already know, my style is inspired by Beatrix Potter.
Setting the story: Melou Robin on its very first day as a bird. What words would you put to these images that follow a story which is soon to be published: “The Tale of Melou Robin’s First Day”.
100% my very own hand drawn and then inked drawings for you to enjoy in whatever way you wish. (Snowflakes and some other adjustments drawn by hand on Procreate as the original drawings will be painted with Watercolour and Gouache for the whites).
Imperfections still intact to boost confidence in drawing by understanding better what real drawings look like.
Can also be used as a learn how to draw tool.
Pages have images on just one side to avoid anything being visible from the reverse, also allowing for tracing on to higher quality paper.
You could even frame your favourite ones.
The illustrations fit a frame or mount opening measuring 120 x 170mm - 4.7 x 6.7 inches (created with an IKEA mount of this opening size for guidance).
Easily transportable and a great size for children: A5 - 148 x 210 mm - 5.8 x 8.3 inches
Free Printable coming soon on my Printables page.
